Nails go dull. Not damaged, just flat, and no amount of hand cream changes it. The Shiner carries a glow-boosting micro-coating that transfers onto the nail as you work, so a few light strokes leave the plate looking glazed. No polish, no gel, nothing to dry.
It works on bare nails at any point, straight out of the shower, at the end of a File Manicure, or whenever you want your hands to look finished without reaching for a bottle. It also doubles as a last pass over the cuticle, and it is the easiest way to work the Balm in.
If you already have the Kit, this is the finishing step, and the one people kept asking us to sell on its own. If you are new to Fyle, start with the Kit, which is the whole method. The Shiner adds the shine once the cuticle work is done.

How to use
- On bare nails – a few light strokes across the nail plate, and stop as soon as it looks glazed.
- For maximum shine – Shiner first, then the Balm on top.
- For deep nourishment – Balm first, then buff it in with the Shiner.
- Light pressure only. A little goes a long way.

How long does the shine last?
Around two weeks, and you can top it up at any point with a few strokes.
Isn't buffing bad for nails?
This isn't a glass file and it isn't shaping anything. The shine comes from the coating it leaves behind rather than from taking a layer off, which is why light pressure is all it needs.
How is this different from an ordinary nail buffer?
An ordinary buffer works by abrading the surface until it shines, which is why the shine is shallow and why over-buffing thins the nail. The Shiner leaves a coating behind instead, so the shine is deeper, it lasts around two weeks, and light pressure is all it needs.
